Ramsden Street
July 2019 and August 2019
Thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make our coffee morning at Dalton so successful. Baking, pricing, donating, transporting and help on the day all worked to raise £311 for Church funds.

Sunday June 23rd was a special day for us when Jennet received Dot Mackereth into membership at Ramsden Street during the Communion Service. Dot was presented with a certificate and book and was offered the right hand of fellowship by Jennet and Heather on behalf of the congregation.

We are expecting Greengate choir to sing for us at our Coffee morning on Friday July 5th. We will use the Church on this occasion to accommodate all the children and ourselves. The children will arrive at 10.30am so please come a little before to be served with coffee.

A Tea and Chat afternoon will be held on Wednesday July 24th from 2.30pm. There will be several stalls and tickets at £3.50 includes afternoon tea.

The next church lunch will be on Wednesday September 4th when we will be having a very simple meal due to the fact that Ena and Peggy have decided that the time has come to retire. We are very grateful to them for all the lovely meals they have prepared for us over several years (and they have indicated that they might make some sandwiches on the odd occasion for us!)

If anyone feels that they can make soup now and again then this would be a great help.

June 2019
Sunday May 5th was a very happy day when we welcomed a new baby and all his family and friends to his Baptismal Service. Rev Ron Wilson conducted both the Communion Service and the Family Service (which included the Baptism).

Ramsden Street are holding a Coffee Morning at Dalton Community Church on Saturday June 22nd from 9.45am to 11.30am. Gifts for the raffle and tombola will be very much appreciated along with home made cakes etc. If you can help on the day please let Anne know.

There is a COG coffee morning at Dalton the previous Saturday June 15th.

FACTORS met on Friday May 17th and had a good brain-storming session of things we might do in the future.

The monthly lunch for June will be a change from the usual as we have decided to eat at the Bay Horse at Hawcoat. A list is circulating to sign up so that we can book tables.

Greengate School choir are coming to sing for us at our Coffee morning on July 5th at 10.30am. This is something we always look forward to – as do the children.

A Tea & Chat afternoon will be held on Wednesday July 24th from 2-30pm. There will be various stalls and further information in our July/August Around Church.

Nicki and Heather would like to thank everyone who helped deliver or collect envelopes during Christian Aid week; and to all who contributed in envelopes. We raised a total of £200 which will increase to £215.75 once Christian Aid claim back the gift aid available on our collection.
